Memoirs of a vinyl junkie
My friend Sergio got me hooked on collecting vinyl. At first it was for my friend Sarah's bring your own records party here in Denver, however I am OBSESSED. So my first records I purchased were Michael Jackson's Off the Wall, the inspiration for the title of my blog, Michael Jackson's Thriller and Yelle's Pop Up. All three were excellent purchases, however the Michael Jackson albums are bar none my favorite. I love them to death. I listen to them like it's my job.
Favorite from Off the wall:
Off the wall, Burn this disco out, I can't help it, Rock with you, Get on the floor, Don't stop til you get enough, Working day and night and Girlfriend.
From Thriller:
Thriller, Wanna be startin somethin, Baby be mine, PYT, The Lady in my life.
Currently I own 50 albums, some are 7" and the others are 12", I have Diana Ross, Donna Summers, Larry Levan compilations, Lykke Li, MIA, Ladyhawke, Gloria Gaynor, Teena Marie and a host of others I will comment on. I own a Vestax Handytrax portable turntable in white and I love it, so i have converted to a vinyl listener the sound is amazing and clear and just beautiful. Here is a musical treat below, Off the Wall enjoy!
